WOOOOO! Week 2 is DONE SON! The first week was mostly 2 sets/15 reps for 60 minutes. Week 2 kicked it up a notch with 3 sets/10 reps for 60 min! YES, I am pretty sore this round! The calendar below shows what the month looks like. It keeps all of us on track and each of us is doing the same workouts on the same days! Sunday's (today), is a rest day. We get to stretch and relax! One rest day might not sound like a lot, but if you're sedentary during the week (sitting all day at work),
then one day's rest is plenty! Annnnnnd I feel pretty good this week! My clothes are not as tight and I can tell I've lost a little bit off my waistline! If it's one thing I've learned from all this, it's that following the meal plan along with the workouts is the KEY to success! There were times when I wanted to cheat on my meal plan, but then I remembered my end goal! My desire to change is MUCH greater than my desire to eat chicken wings and drink beer! PLUS I get to eat a wide range of foods!! I get to eat open faced burgers, eggs, chicken, toast, quinoa and allll the fruits! If it fits in the containers, you can eat it.
This week I made a take on PF Chang's chicken lettuce wraps (right corner), added quinoa for my veggie. I had so other yummy items during the week such as steak, eggs, turkey chili and hummus and cucumbers! If you're anything like me, you love to eat out! I've learned to modify A LOT of the foods I love! I may not be able to eat fried chicken wings, but I can bake them and pour the buffalo sauce on top (the sauce is the best part anyway!).
65 days left and I am STILL PUMPED! Our ladies in our 80 Day Obsession Challenge Group are killing it as well! They are supporting one another and consistently posting their workouts every day!
We all have highs and lows during an intense program like this, but we share those as well! Like having a virtual gym buddy you can vent to! Having an online challenge group where you can vent, share and express yourself makes this program SO MUCH MORE FUN! There's nothing like having a support group through the pain sweat and tears!
